I believe every child can do well if he/she has the ability and skill set to do so. All children want to do well and, when they are struggling, it's a result of a lagging skills. Once those skills and targeted and intervention is provided, children can find success. How can you help a student become an independent learner? I can help a student become a better learner by instilling confidence that is built on small successes. Consistent formative assessment and targeted instruction helps students shore up lagging skills and, in turn, perform better when giving culminating assessments. How would you help a student stay motivated?
