About Me

I have been teaching high school history for 7 years now in Oregon, Brasilia, and currently in South Florida. I have taught and created curriculum for a wide variety of history courses, with experience teaching AP US and European History, and 4 years teaching IB History. I also tutored TOEFL preparation and English conversation while living in Brazil. I enjoy working with students and look forward to helping as many as I can reach their goals!

I believe that students learn best through taking an active role in their learning. My students will spend the majority of their time doing learning tasks as opposed to being lectured to. I will be there to support them and help them through their tasks, but it will be the student doing the work. I believe this is best for the learning of the skills and retention of the content.
