About Me

Hi! I'm Helen. I have been interested in language learning for many years. It can be extremely fun and, at the same time, presents challenges. It is important to take risks in learning and I'm someone with whom you'll feel comfortable trying. I approach learning with a sense of fun and adventure, with lots of laughter along the way! I will design lessons that help you to learn and use vocabulary and grammar in an authentic way, which will help you remember and use them more easily. If you need help with specific school work, we will do whatever necessary to help you improve your grades. I have been a language educator for over 13 years. I have worked with students from preschool through adulthood. I am certified to teach Spanish and ESL for P-12. I hold a Bachelors degree in Spanish and a Masters degree in Bilingual and Multicultural Education. I have traveled extensively in Spanish speaking countries such as Spain, Chile, Mexico, Peru and Puerto Rico. I have taught ESL to students from over 30 countries. I look forward to working with you and getting to know you. I value the relationship I have with each student.
