Who will be getting tutoring?
No obligation. Takes ~1 minute.

I am pursuing a career in dentistry/oral surgery and will be beginning dental school at Boston University this fall. For this reason I recently took the DAT, which I am capable of assisting you with as well. During my undergraduate education, which I completed this past December, I worked in my school's tutoring center, helping my peers succeed in mathematics and science courses. Outside of my academic life, I am a big sports fan and I mostly follow the New York sports teams. For fun, I like to play basketball and golf with my friends. I am looking forward towards getting to know you and helping you with your academic needs.

I'm a rising junior at Stanford University majoring in International Relations and minoring in Education, and Comparative Studies in Race and Ethnicity. I am most passionate about history, but I really enjoy math and writing too. I've been working extensively in educational settings for the past two years, working as a middle school TA and after school program academic classroom director/tutor. In my free time, I love having conversations with my friends and students, reading, dancing, listening to music, and hanging out with my younger sisters. My mission is to work my hardest to make learning and tutoring truly fun, so that it doesn't feel like a chore or obligation for anyone. I would love to work with you on SAT preparation, math tutoring, history tutoring, writing tutoring, or any other subject you would like to work on!
I am a graduate of Princeton Theological Seminary, but I grew up in Edmond, Oklahoma. While I tutor a variety of subjects, some of my favorites are German, math, and English. I have been tutoring students in German, Algebra, Geometry, and SAT preparation for almost ten years. I have worked with eighth-graders preparing for private school entrance exams, have taught Algebra in public school, and I currently teach philosophy at a New Jersey community college. I enjoy helping my students learn to solve problems on their own, think for themselves, and learn the strategies to excel at standardized tests.
I am a student at Boston University majoring in chemistry on the pre-medical track. I will earn my Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry in 2024. I have had experience in the past with peer mentoring and tutoring in which I helped elementary and middle school students with their subjects of difficulty. Through these experiences, I have learned how rewarding tutoring is. I am passionate about helping others reach their goals and I love when I see a student gain confidence in a subject area and apply their newly learned skills to other aspects of their life. My goal is to be a helpful resource to students in tackling their areas of difficulty and succeeding in an academic setting, all while making the learning process enjoyable. While I tutor many subjects, I am most passionate about math, specifically Algebra and Calculus I, and chemistry. I enjoy working with students by explaining problems and concepts with clarity and working with their interests and strengths to help make improvement. I am a firm proponent of communicative teaching and making lessons interesting with beneficial interactive activities and problems. In my spare time, I enjoy reading and being active by playing tennis and running, and spending time outdoors.
I am confident I will be able to use my experience and current knowledge to raise your grades and scores.
I am most comfortable teaching the SAT Reading/Writing and helping youths with their personal statements. Furthermore, my one-year experience as an AmeriCorps VISTA for PeaceJam Foundation – an award-winning organization that promotes service learning and peacekeeping through the combined efforts of Nobel Peace Laureates and young people – has instilled in me a deep reverence and hope for our youths today. I strongly believe in our youths’ limitless potential to pursue their dreams and become agents of positive social change and know I will be an excellent mentor/coach through their journey.
I'm a motivated and enthusiastic engineer with a drive to always continue learning, share knowledge with others and inspire.
I am a student at the Honors College of Rutgers - New Brunswick. I am currently working towards attaining a B.S. in Biochemistry, as well as a minor in Business and Administration. Over the last five years, I have reconciled my passion for teaching and my desire to interact with fellow students through tutoring. While I have tutored in a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about science, math, and English. Having taught many students, each of whom were different in terms of personality and learning style, I understand the importance of tailoring the lesson to the student's strengths. As a result, I work to create unique, individualized learning plans that engage the student and make learning feel like an opportunity, rather than a chore.
I am a recent graduate from Carnegie Mellon University with a dual degree in Chemical and Biomedical Engineering. I have several years of tutoring experience in math, English, and broad sciences for kindergarten to high schoolers. Additionally, I have tutored several students for the SAT and ACT who have had favorable results. I truly enjoy working with school students to help them further their education and have made it a part of my routine since highschool.
I am currently an undergraduate at Johns Hopkins University working towards a degree in Biomedical Engineering. One of the most rewarding aspects tutoring is helping students arrive at that "Eureka" moment when the concept or idea they have been trying to understand suddenly clicks. I hope to be a mentor to students as I draw from my own experiences, having been in the same shoes not long ago. I enjoy tutoring all subjects, particularly math, physics, and biology.
I am a Biology geek, currently enrolled in NYU pursuing a Masters in Bioinformatics. I love all things science, and am building a career working in Big Data. I love working with kids of all ages, and evaluate each child to determine what resources work best.
