I am a mechanical engineering student who is passionate about the propensity for engineering and technology to impact society for the better. I love learning new things and teaching others!

I'm a Rice University biochemistry major and GSMST (Gwinnett School of Mathematics, Science, and Technology) graduate where I took 15 APs/college-equivalent courses, including AP Calculus BC, AP Statistics, Multivariable calculus/linear algebra, Differential equations, AP Physics C: Mechanics, AP Physics C: Electricity & Magnetism, and AP Chemistry.
I am an astronomer who spends her days coding in Python and conjuring up equations to fit trends I observe in my spectroscopic data. Currently, I study how stellar environment affects the gaseous disks around baby stars that may be forming planets (Yep & White 2020, The Astrophysical Journal, Volume 889, Issue 1, id. 50). Math, physics, and coding are all part of my job solving mysteries of the Universe! Throughout the year (except during global pandemics), I run Georgia State University's telescopes to show everyone the planets, stars, clusters, and galaxies visible from right here on Earth. Any questions? Ask away!
I am a Biotechnology Master's Student at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, ETH Zurich. I completed my undergraduate degree in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from Georgia Tech in 2018 while minoring in Biomedical Engineering. My passion is researching novel ways to use ethically derived induced pluripotent stem cells in both research and therapeutic environments, and I love to share my knowledge and excitement for science, math, and language with others.
I am a recent graduate from the University of Georgia, with a bachelors in Biology. Currently, I am working for a stem cell research lab at the university. I am super passionate about helping students of all levels grow into the smart young learners that I know they are. My teaching style is very nurturing. I am patient and understanding of their needs and will do whatever it takes to achieve their personal goals.
I am an undergraduate pre-medical student at Northwestern University. I am currently pursuing my degree in Biological Sciences and a minor in Business Institutions. I also work as a TA (teaching assistant) and RA (resident assistant) within the university, so I have practiced many interpersonal skills necessary to be an efficient tutor. After an 11-year hiatus, I am excited to return to one-on-one tutoring in high school and college-level precalculus, calculus, and physics. My goal is to build students' confidence in subjects that often feel overwhelming by identifying the root of their challenges - whether it's a forgotten foundational skill or a mismatch in teaching and learning styles - and helping them work through those roadblocks with clarity and patience. I discovered my passion for tutoring in high school through volunteer mentoring and later assisted classmates in physics at my teacher's request. Since then, I have supported students in courses ranging from geometry to upper-level calculus. I am currently tutoring while pursuing my next full-time opportunity, most recently having worked for a railroad construction products supplier.
I'm a a high school graduate headed off to college at Haverford, a top college near Philly. I specialize in both math and writing, often tutoring my friends and volunteering at the writing center. I've taken many dual enrollment math courses at local colleges, including Calculus 1,2, and 3, as well as linear algebra. I also do a lot of test prep, as I've actually taken the SAT 5 times and scored a 1590, so I'm very used to standardized testing. I love helping people, so I hope I can help you!
I am a current student at Georgia Tech. My major is Computer Science. As a second year in college, I have confidence in better connecting with young students. My teaching philosophy is "slowly but surely." I am very patient and do not want to pressure students to move at a fast pace. Whatever pace the student may wish to take, I will follow it and do my best for the student to understand the content.
I am a fourth year at the University of Georgia studying Mechanical Engineering. I've always loved math and science, but I know not everyone does. I hope to be able to make these subjects a little easier for you in the future.
I am currently a physics student at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Throughout my high school and college career, I have been tutoring people of all ages a variety of different subjects, but I specialize in math and physics. I am a firm believer that one cannot explain a concept to a 5-year-old, then they do not understand it enough. When I teach my students, I try my best to make sure they can achieve this deep level of understanding in whatever subject they are studying. I have tutored professionally for Mathnasium where I tutored math in all levels ranging from algebra to single variable calculus, and have tutored privately in subjects such as quantum mechanics, and introductory physics. In my free time, I enjoy playing ultimate frisbee, going on hikes, and writing music.
I am a graduate from the University of Georgia where I received a Bachelor of Arts in Cognitive Science with a focus on Artificial Intelligence/Computing and Psychology. Throughout College and even in high school, I loved helping my peers and those around me achieve and found myself in many situations where I helped friends in one-on-one or group study sessions as well as joining a plethora of groups and associations that would connect me to students who needed a little extra help. My path in college allowed me to explore many different subjects in a variety of fields, but I find myself most passionate about Life Sciences, all levels of Math, Software Development in Java, Psychology, and Philosophy. I also enjoy aiding in the studying for Standardized Testing as I have always enjoyed the process of test taking and have acquired many skills and tips that could help anyone become a more skilled test taker. I believe education to be a cornerstone in becoming a fulfilled person in life, and this belief is what encourages and motivates me to help others further excel, prosper, and achieve all their goals in life. I believe everyone has the aptitude for learning anything they want, and I want to bring this talent out of all of my students to show them what has been hiding within all along.
I'm a second year Computational Media major at the Georgia Institute of Technology. In essence, my major allows me to combine my passion for both graphic design and coding in a way that will help me to pursue a career where I can create user-friendly code.
I am more than willing to use the online platform provided if that is the best means for us to connect. Every person is different, so each tutoring session will be uniquely tailored to your needs. Helping people succeed is immensely rewarding for me, and I have been tutoring students ever since I was in high school. Initially, I only tutored Physics, but as I progressed through my undergraduate degree in Biochemistry, I began to tutor students in General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, as well as Calculus. I personally love Organic Chemistry, but I definitely understand those who disagree and look forward to helping you succeed and maybe even enjoy it a little!
After teaching for fifteen years from grade six to college level students there is one truth I have learned. Learning can only occur if the student has a point of reference. As teachers we have the responsibility to evaluate our student's level of knowledge and to increase their level of understanding, comprehension, analysis, and diagnosis of the subject we teach. Furthermore, I believe that a teacher is morally obligated to enter the classroom with only the highest of expectations for each and every one of her students. Thus, the teacher maximizes the positive benefits that naturally come along with any self-fulfilling prophecy. With dedication, perseverance, and hard work, her students will rise to the occasion. I aim to bring an open mind, a positive attitude, and high expectations to the classroom each day. I believe that I owe it to my students, as well as the community, to bring consistency, diligence, and warmth to my job in the hope that I can ultimately inspire and encourage such traits in the children as well.
I am a recent graduate of Emory University, where I studied Mathematics and Philosophy. I have over three years of experience tutoring middle-school to high-school students in math, science, and test prep. I think every student learns differently, and the most important job of a tutor is to tailor his or her style of teaching to each student's unique way of thinking.
I am very adaptable. I studied in a foreign country and I have traveled to a lot of places. I have friends from all over the world and I still keep in touch with them. Having dealt with students with different personalities I believe that I can be a good friend to them. Although teaching is my major area of interest, I spend my spare time doing social activities and sports. I am fond of playing table tennis. In addition to all these, I am also interested in cooking and traveling. I believe that I can combine my personal interests with those of a student to better address his/her needs.
I am an undergraduate student studying Neuroscience and Religion at Emory University. I've been tutoring for over three years, and I have extensive experience tutoring math all the way from Algebra 1 to Calculus 2. I am extremely passionate about helping students understand and love what they are learning, and in my experience, my tutoring style of focusing on the underlying concepts of a subject has been very successful. I find students that are able to critically apply what they have learned to new problems are the most successful, and I strive to make every one of my students adopt this mentality. I love getting to know my students on a personal level, and speaking to them about my love for undergraduate research, dancing, and sports!
I'm an Iowa native who moved to Nashville for graduate school. My background is in the life sciences; I have a Masters from Vanderbilt in Chemical and Physical Biology, and my undergraduate degree is in Biochemistry. However, my education has been well rounded and I have interests in philosophy, literature, writing, and history. I have extensive research experience, and I hope to share my passion for science with students. I have experience mentoring undergraduate students during my graduate school education to help them gain research experience. I am a very patient teacher and have the ability to see problems from the students perspective; my tutoring style adapts to each student's individual needs, but centers on getting each student to come to their solutions rather than following any one formula for success. I have a lot of experience with standardized testing, and have taken multiple AP subject tests in addition to the ACT, SAT, and GRE examinations.
I am currently working for a tutoring service called Princeton Tutoring as an independent contractor. As a member of their tutoring base, I instruct students in Math, Physics, AP Exams and most often, the SAT. I am a freshman Computer Science major enrolled in the McCormick School of Engineering at Northwestern University. I have a passion for teaching students, and I am experienced with having to give one-on-one guidance in teaching many concepts. Tutoring is very rewarding for me because I am driven to help others and give whatever knowledge I have gained over the years in every field. I also have experience dealing with situations in which students are not quickly or readily grasping concepts, and I have developed the patience to handle these situations. Teaching is just as rewarding for the student as it is for me, because I am thrilled when I see others achieve, and I would love to be part of the process. In addition to high school AP courses and test prep, I have taken college level multivariable calculus, linear algebra, physics electricity/magnetism and mechanics, computer programming (c++, matlab, LISP/Scheme), Dynamics of Systems, and Mechanics of Systems.
I'm not tutoring or buried in my textbooks, you will either find me rock climbing at the Triangle Rock Club, playing Ultimate Frisbee, working on my car, or enjoying the great outdoors (beaches, mountains, forests--you name it, I love it).
