Studying computer science while double-majoring in studio art gives Parker an unusual edge when teaching AP Computer Science — he thinks visually about code structure, sketching out class hierarchies and loop logic as diagrams before translating them into Java. That creative problem-solving approach, paired with daily coursework in algorithms and data structures, means students get explanations tailored to how they actually think rather than a one-size-fits-all walkthrough. Rated 5.0 by students.

Recursion, sorting algorithms, and object-oriented design aren't just AP exam topics for Sebastian — they're concepts he uses daily in his computer science coursework at UCF. He teaches students to trace through code by hand before running it, building the kind of debugging intuition that turns a 3 into a 5. Free-response questions get special attention since that's where most points are left on the table.
Studying computer science at UCF while also tutoring Java and C++ means Hassan is actively writing the same kind of code AP Computer Science A tests — from designing classes to tracing through recursive methods — on a near-daily basis. He's especially strong at walking through the logic of free-response problems step by step, making sure students understand how each line executes before moving on. Rated 5.0 by students.
I am currently a Harvard student majoring in Computer Science with a minor in Applied Mathematics. I graduated Class Valedictorian in high school and was named National Merit Finalist. I took 16 AP classes in high school, including AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC, AP Computer Science A, AP Physics C : Mechanics and AP Physics 1, with a score of 5 in all of the tests. I scored a 1570/1600 in my SAT and 800 in the SAT Math Level 2 Subject Test and 790 in the SAT Physics Subject Test.
I am graduated from Penn State University in Industrial Engineering in 2017. I've tutored ever since I was in high school, and I love helping people! I like to help my students understand math (and other topics) instead of just doing it blindly. My goal is to help my students improve their math (and other topics) and build skills that will help them find learning easier in the future! Fun fact, I used to work for Disney and I like to salsa dance!
I am currently a Master's student at the Rochester Institute of Technology, finishing up a Computer Science degree. I am Ankit Jajoo. I am enrolled in Duke University Class of 2022 studying neuroscience and computer science. STEM is my number one passion, while history is my number one interest. Humanities and STEM not only coexist, but work together often in life. While STEM provides the foundation for the future, humanities contributes to how it is used to advance humanity as a whole. I love biology, chemistry, and computers. It is so cool to see how all these tiny minute parts of the world interact to create you, me, and everything we touch. On the other hand, history is cool to see how societies interacted to create the present world. The past is never separate from us, but always influencing everything from the various countries to cities to the tiny villages all over the world. The world is a combination of all of this and it is my passion to understand the world. Other than just about education and information, I love teaching other people about stuff. I enjoy teaching all my friends some stuff, in return they teach me other stuff. Contrary to popular opinion, teaching is a two way street. I've learned a tremendous amount from students and I hope they learned a similar amount from me. Tutoring students in a field I enjoy such as STEM or history is a dream come true.
I am a 22-year-old medical student. In college, I triple majored in Theoretical Mathematics, Computer Science, and Chemistry. I am working towards a Bachelor of Arts in Pure and Applied Mathematics as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Astronomy and Physics. I have enjoyed studying math and science since I was in elementary school. I would always help my friends out by answering their questions about the material. For about the last five years, I have had my own tutoring business where I have tutored a wide variety of math courses from elementary school math to pre-calculus and calculus. I like to make sure my students have a complete understanding of the core concepts before going into practice questions. I have also had experience helping my peers with physics and computer science courses.
I am currently a senior in the Honors program, on track to graduate summa cum laude, and approaching completion of an undergraduate thesis on my work in the university's nanotechnology lab.

As a passionate educator with a Master's degree in Computer Science from Florida Atlantic University, I am dedicated to fostering a deep understanding of computational concepts in my students. With over 2 years of experience tutoring AP Computer Science A, AP Computer Science Principles, Python, and Java, I adopt a hands-on approach that emphasizes real-world problem-solving. My teaching philosophy revolves around creating a supportive environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions and actively engage with the material. I am motivated by the belief that every student has the potential to excel in technology, and I strive to guide them on their academic journeys. In my free time, I enjoy developing personal coding projects and exploring the latest technological advancements, sharing these insights with my students to spark their curiosity and enhance their learning experience. I am also a Software Engineer, and happy to discuss career development. Excited to work with you!
Northeastern's co-op model means Charles isn't just learning computer science in a classroom — he's cycling between coursework and real-world application, which keeps AP Computer Science A topics like object-oriented design and algorithm tracing grounded in how software actually gets built. His 1580 SAT speaks to the kind of precise, methodical reasoning that makes the difference on Java free-response questions, where one misplaced semicolon or off-by-one error can unravel an otherwise solid solution.
I am a freshman at Caltech majoring in Applied and Computational Mathematics. My favorite subject to tutor is math because I find it very rewarding to simplify complex topics to aid in understanding. I have lots of tutoring experience. In high school, I ran and taught an SAT prep class and was vice president of my school's NHS chapter where I ran our tutoring program, and I, myself, tutored. I also was a teaching assistant in the summer of 2020 for a class in discrete mathematics through a program called PACT (Program in Algorithmic and Combinatorial Thinking). I love learning and hope to make the process enjoyable for you!
I'm currently majoring in bioengineering/pre-med at Rice University. I graduated as the valedictorian of my high school class. My interests include biology, math, and violin performance. I've also done molecular biology research at the Oregon Stem Cell Center.
I'm a freshman at Stanford University pursuing a degree in mathematical and computational science. I've been tutoring students from grades 3-12 throughout high school, and I look forward to continue in college. Nothing excites me more than learning something new, and I strive to share my excitement with my tutees.
Columbia's CS program has Julian writing Java and working with object-oriented design patterns well beyond the AP level, which means he can zoom in on exactly the pieces — like loop tracing, array logic, or class construction — that the exam actually tests. He's spent enough time in group study sessions watching classmates struggle with gaps in foundational concepts to know that solid understanding of how each line of code executes matters more than memorizing syntax.
I am very passionate about teaching material in a way that works with each student's personal learning needs and making sure that they understand the material at its core, not just how to answer a test question. Because I majored in Neuroscience, I have expertise in a wide range of sciences, as Neuroscience is a very interdisciplinary subject. I have also had extensive experience in Computer Science. Outside of Neuroscience, I devoted a lot of time to studying the humanities. I even started a blog my junior year as an outlet to further pursue these academic interests! As a result, I also enjoy tutoring in Literature, English, and Writing.
I'm Cindy! I'm a freshman at Harvard University and graduated from San Mateo High School this past year. I love to teach and have years tutoring students of all ages in a variety of subjects. Feel free to send me a message if you have any questions or would like to schedule a tutoring session!
Hackathons and robotics competitions taught June to debug under pressure and think through code systematically — exactly the skills AP Computer Science A tests on free-response questions. Her electrical engineering studies at Brown mean she understands computing from the hardware up, giving her a concrete way to explain why Java handles variables, memory, and control flow the way it does.
I'm a coterminal master's student at Stanford University in California majoring in Computer Science (Biocomputation). Throughout high school and college, I've taken many courses in computer science, the life sciences (biology and chemistry), and math; and I've been through a lot of standardized tests. For computer science in particular, I have a lot of experience writing software in Python and C++ for AI and systems classes, and I'll be interning as a software engineer at Facebook this summer. I got a lot of great tips and mentorship from tutors along the way, and would love to pass along what I know!
I am an incoming student at Yale University studying computer science and economics. I'm also interested in math and chemistry. My favorite area to tutor is SAT, specifically the SAT math section. In my spare time, I enjoy playing golf, cooking, and reading thriller novels. I'm excited to start working with you!
I am interested in Physics and Mathematics and working out practical problems from plumbing to electronics. I will someday go back for my Ph.D. in Physics but until then I am looking to grow as an engineer or computer programmer.
Jett codes in Java, Python, and C as part of his electrical and computer engineering program at UT Austin, so the AP Computer Science A curriculum — from writing classes to implementing algorithms — overlaps with work he's already doing for his degree. Where he especially shines is connecting programming logic to the underlying hardware, explaining how a for-loop or recursive call actually executes at the machine level, which makes debugging and tracing problems far less mysterious. Rated 5.0 by students.
