Prior to my teaching career, I spent a portion of my career managing several of my own business entities in the financial industry. My teaching specialties are mathematics and business. The business section includes accounting, finance, economics, marketing and business operations to name a few. My favorite subjects are business related due to the ability when teaching to showcase the material against past and present situations. My most important attribute mentioned by my students is how patient I am with them. My teaching philosophy is grounded in two very important notions; learning requires the student to be active in the process and that the teacher must place the information presented into real-world context. It is my responsibility to lead my students to the path of applying learned information to relevant situations. My interests outside of my teaching include golf, scuba diving, hiking, personal fitness and vintage baseball.
