I recently graduated from St. John's University with a Bachelor's in Physics. I understand that everyone learns differently and has different needs. If a person doesn't understand what they are learning in class, it doesn't mean that they are bad at it; it just means they need to learn it in a different way. I myself have sought out tutoring for math time and time again, and I was a Physics major! Now as I become a graduate student I still seek out help for math when I need it. There is no wrong or right way to learn, only different methods, and I will ensure that the student learns the material that they need to learn because I was once in their shoes.

I enjoyed studying several subjects particularly math and science. I pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Science at University of South Florida and now I am doing my medical internship to later specialize in pediatrics. I love working with young children. I started tutoring elementary students as an undergrad with Americorps, which gave me the opportunity to work with all ages from 6 yrs-18 yrs old. I tutored mostly in math, science, Civics and reading/writing. I enjoy helping people and a better way to help the youth achieve their academic goals is by tutoring them in a way that they can understand by breaking the subject down using examples to make it simple and clear to understand. I have few hobbies besides my books, I love drawing flowers and traveling. I visited few places in the Caribbean and I took the opportunity to take pictures of the most beautiful flowers i could find to later draw and frame them. I also like going to the movies, comedy movies are my favorite.

Hello my name is Taylor Dawson I have been a substitute teacher since 2019, both in person and online during the Covid 19 pandemic. Mainly focusing in the science and special education subjects in the K-12 settings. Science and special education are my passions, my 5 year goal is to become a full time special education teacher in the near future. I hold an associates degree in Integrated Studies. I have a 5 year old daughter, she is my Hero.

I am a biologist with a passion for education, as I believe that education is vital for conservation, progression, and making the right decisions.

During college, I always enjoyed working with fellow students in learning material because often each person had a different perspective on certain concepts and this allowed me to view things differently which I always found quite helpful during school. As I moved to graduate school I took on teaching assistant roles in various courses. I found that working through problems with students was a very rewarding part of my graduate studies. This enjoyment lead me to pursue academics and I have been a tenured associate professor for almost 6 years teaching mostly in the Department of Chemistry at my College. I have taught various disciplines of chemistry including health professions related chemistry, general chemistry, upper level quantitative chemistry as well as the associated laboratory materials found in these courses. I look forward to sharing my knowledge in these subjects and hope I can provide you with the right guidance to excel in you studies.

I truly enjoy learning so much that Ive studied various subjects at over 10 additional colleges across the United States and Europe, starting in high school! Im also a student of life, attending special seminars (like Landmark and Tony Robbins) whenever I get the chance. Over the past 15 years, Ive had the pleasure of teaching in many different settings. Ive been a museum educator, a classroom teacher (teaching either math, science, English or art), an education program manager, a leadership trainer (teaching a leadership curriculum through the arts), a yoga instructor, and a tutor. Because Im so passionate about learning, its a pleasure for me to inspire my students to discover their own passions and reach their goals. I received my bachelors and masters from James Madison University. I am a certified middle and high school social studies teacher. I have worked with all ages ranging from preschool to university students for the past 5 years. I have teaching experience in World History, US History, and Government. Additionally, I just returned from teaching intermediate level English, academic English, gender studies, and History at a university in Poland. My favorite subject to tutor is history because it is fun to make the past come alive but I am able to tutor all of the social studies subjects and English.

I am a proud graduate of Miami University for my bachelor's degree and the University of South Florida for my master's degree in teaching. I am certified in secondary science education in both Illinois and Florida and also hold my gifted endorsement in Florida. I am passionate about tutoring in biology and environmental science, as well as helping to prepare students to take the science section of the ACT. I help my students make relevant and meaningful connections to help increase engagement and retention. I provide a wide variety of teaching strategies in order to accommodate different learning styles. I have worked with middle and high school students in both formal and informal education for over ten years. Outside of education, I love to travel (I traveled abroad with students in 2012, 2013, and 2014). I enjoy photography and stand up paddleboarding during the summer.
