As a 2020 graduate of Northwestern University, I received a Bachelor's of Music in Voice/Opera and a Bachelor of Arts in German Studies. During my time at Northwestern, I enjoyed being both a teaching assistant for a first grade class and an after school tutor for grades 1-4 at the Roycemore School's Extended Day Program. Understanding and teaching elementary school students has become a passion of mine as I get to watch these students not only excel in their academic studies but also learn and grow as human beings. I seek to find constructive learning methods for these students that are intertwined with creative outlets for the student to express themselves and learn about habits of being great leaders. I have also had experience peer tutoring German Language and Music Theory at Northwestern. I specifically enjoy teaching German Language because of both its meaning in my personal heritage and in the vast culture Germany contains. It is an appreciation for culture as citizens of the world that is a vital part of learning foreign languages. In my free time, I enjoy discovering new recipes to cook, composing music, going to the gym, and reading or writing poetry.

In 2009, I became certified to teach German and English at the secondary level.I have been a tutor since my acceptance into the National Honor Society in high school. I have tutored at Alma College and have worked as a teaching assistant at Michigan State, where I helped design assessments as well as teaching at the beginner and intermediate levels.German has been a favorite subject of mine because of my personal connection to the language and culture. I enjoy using games and communicative activities as much as possible to make German interesting and fun to learn. Outside of academia, I enjoy reading, writing and film.
