Colin: Long Island City tutor
Certified Tutor
I'm an honors graduate of the University of Arkansas. I completed a double major in Physics and Mathematics (B.S.), and I performed undergraduate research in computational physics as well as applied mathematics.
I am most comfortable tutoring mathematics of all levels; Physics I and II, algebra-based and calculus-based; and the ACT, SAT, and PSAT.
My main focus on working with a student is overcoming feelings of frustration and inadequacy. Many students fear mistakes. However, they are required to learn! I promise you that there is no number of mistakes you can make, or number of ways I explain something, that will make me judge you. I want to help you develop the skills to push through challenges and believe in yourself.

In my free time, I usually enjoy playing video games with friends (I'm beating Hollow Knight so I can play Silksong!) or watching or reading fantasy (I'm currently watching One Piece). I love spoken languages and computers; I want to become fluent in Spanish and make my own website. For exercise, I love swimming laps. I also used to play the saxophone! I miss marching band.
