Certified Tutor
I've been teaching creative and academic writing for over five years. I hold a Bachelor's degree in English with certificates in Creative Writing, Italian, and Visual Art from Princeton University, and I teach small group classes as well as one-on-one with students. Over the years, I've had the joy of guiding learners through everything from AP English Language and Literature to the high-stakes process of crafting college application essays.
What I love most about teaching is creating a space where students feel supported, inspired, and free to take risks with their writing. I believe strong writing grows out of curiosity and creativity, so my approach encourages students to think critically, experiment with ideas, and discover their own voices. For me, the greatest reward is watching a student gain not only skills but also confidence in their ability to express themselves.
Outside of the classroom, I'm a devoted reader and writer of poetry. That practice continually shapes my teachingI bring the same sense of play, imagination, and careful attention to words into my lessons. Ultimately, I see tutoring as an opportunity to help students connect with language, unlock their potential, and carry that confidence into every corner of their lives.

Outside of teaching, I’m usually chasing down inspiration in a few different corners of life. Boxing keeps me grounded and energised—it’s where I learn discipline, focus, and the value of showing up consistently, even when the work is tough. Poetry is my lifelong creative outlet, a place where I can wrestle with ideas, play with language, and remind myself why I fell in love with words in the first place. And movies are my window into countless worlds, perspectives, and stories, each one sparking new ways to think and teach. For me, these passions feed into one another. Boxing teaches resilience, poetry sharpens expression, and film expands empathy and imagination. Together, they continually shape how I approach both life and teaching: with curiosity, creativity, and a willingness to step into the ring, whether it's made of ropes, stanzas, or a great story on screen.
