I am currently finishing my MPhil in Biological Anthropological Science at the University of Cambridge as a Marshall Scholar, and have over four years of tutoring and teaching experience. I additionally hold dual undergraduate degrees in Anthropology and Geology from the University of Georgia, and attained my MSc in Human Osteology and Funerary Archaeology from the University of Sheffield last year. As an educator, I have worked with a diverse range of students, including middle and high school scholars preparing for in-class and standardized testing, as well as college students and incarcerated individuals studying for their GED exams. My teaching philosophy centers on fostering a supportive learning environment where students feel empowered to explore complex concepts and develop critical thinking skills. I believe in tailoring my approach to each student's unique learning style, helping them build confidence and achieve academic success. I have experience teaching a wide range of topics, including mathematics, science, history, reading and English, and have taught topics in anthropology and earth sciences at the college level as a teaching assistant, both in the classroom and in the field. My favorite subject to teach is science, as my personal ethos as a scientist is to make the discipline more accessible and exciting to everyone! I also believe the best way to improve ourselves and the world around us is to learn more about it. Outside of academia, I enjoy reading, creative writing, and baseball.

Outside of the lab, I love to creatively write and read (literary and gothic fiction are my favorite). I also love art: oil painting, sketching, and ceramics are my favorite media. I am a habitual runner as well, and also do a bit of yoga. I love baseball, as I was an avid player when I was younger, and still follow the Atlanta Braves. As a geologist, I love being outside, and especially enjoy hiking, camping, and kayaking.
