I am a proud two-time graduate of Longwood University in Farmville, VA, where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Liberal Studies to teach elementary grades PK-8, followed by a Master of Science in Education Curriculum and Instruction, specializing in Mild Disabilities for ED K-12, ID K-12, and SLD K-12. I hold an active Commonwealth of Virginia Postgraduate Professional License with endorsements in all the aforementioned areas of instruction. Over the past 25 years as an educator in Virginia, I have primarily taught third grade, along with serving as a technology resource teacher for one year and a STEAM resource teacher for the past eight years. My passion lies in elementary education, particularly in math and science; however, I truly enjoy teaching all subjects, including ELA and social studies. I take pride in my work and am dedicated to preparing engaging lessons that support students on their educational journeys. In my free time, I relish spending time with family, camping, boating, reading, and solving Sudoku puzzles.
