COURTNEY: Fayetteville tutor
Certified Tutor
I am passionate about helping students because I believe every learner has unique strengths and the ability to succeed when given the right support. As a Special Education teacher, I have h
ad the privilege of working with students across elementary, middle, and high school levels, providing both resource instruction and co-teaching in subjects like math and English Language Arts. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Special Education from Western Governors University, followed by a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus in Special Education/Autism from Liberty University. I am currently pursuing my Education Specialist degree in Special Education at Liberty University to deepen my expertise. My certifications in Special Education General Curriculum (P-12) and Early Childhood/Elementary Education (P-5) allow me to support a wide range of learners, and I also hold a license as a Health and Life Insurance Agent in Georgia.
I tutor math, reading, writing, and study skills, but my favorite subject to tutor is math because I enjoy helping students build confidence as they work through challenges and discover their problem-solving abilities. My teaching philosophy centers on patience, encouragement, and tailoring lessons to each student's needs while creating a supportive environment that makes learning enjoyable and engaging. I believe in meeting students where they are and guiding them step by step toward their goals. Outside of teaching, I enjoy staying active, exploring new learning opportunities, and spending quality time with family and friends.

State Certified Teacher
Outside of teaching, I enjoy learning new concepts and sharing ideas with others. For relaxation, I love watching classic sitcoms from the 90s and early 2000s, as well as comedy, dramedy, and faith-based movies. To find peace and reset my mind, I spend time studying devotionals, which keeps me grounded and motivated. I also enjoy going out to eat with friends and loved ones, shopping, traveling, and exploring new places. These activities allow me to balance reflection with fun, laughter, and meaningful connections.
