As a passionate educator with a Bachelor's degree in General Studies from the University of Maryland - University College, I have over 5 years of tutoring experience across a range of subjects, including Algebra, AP Art History, and Creative Writing. My teaching philosophy centers on fostering a collaborative learning environment that respects each student's unique learning style. I believe in tailoring my approach to meet individual needs, ensuring that students not only grasp the material but also gain confidence in their abilities. My military background as an adult educator has honed my skills in delivering clear, structured lessons, whether in person or virtually. I am particularly enthusiastic about sharing my love for art and history, as well as helping students excel in math. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy drawing and exploring new artistic techniques, which I find enriches my teaching and keeps the learning process engaging for my students.
