I have a BS degree in Education with emphasis on social studies. My graduate work included classes to aid students within the class. The courses ranged on how to motivate the uninterested student to teaching the gifted. I was an educator in a St. Louis County school district for 26 years. My high school teaching experience has been with student teaching and summer school. My 26 years has been with teaching seventh and eighth graders. In the past I have volunteered to read with elementary students and one semester I had the privilege to work with adult readers at a local community college. My belief has always been to provide the best instruction I am capable of, remember that not all students learn the same, and encouraging students to push forward.

My interests include reading, playing tennis, walking and trail hiking.
