As a dedicated tutor and current Biology major at Hofstra University, I have cultivated over two years of experience in teaching subjects such as biology, chemistry, algebra, and Spanish, supported by my biliteracy seal in Spanish. My tutoring philosophy centers on patience and understanding, recognizing that mastery of complex topics takes time. I focus on creating a strong foundational understanding by breaking down challenging concepts into manageable parts and using practical strategies like practice problems and note rewriting to enhance retention and understanding. I take pride in tailoring my approach to each student's needs, helping them gain confidence in their abilities. Outside of tutoring, I am passionate about exploring languages and cultures, which enriches my teaching style and fosters a deeper connection with my students.
