I'm a highly accomplished and certified law enforcement professional eager to share my 28 years of law enforcement experience to you. My mission is to mentor and train you in critical law enforcement subjects, ensuring you build a strong foundation for academic or professional success and to help you pass your state certification exam.
As a former Deputy Police Academy Commander and Program Manager for the Basic Peace Officer Course at the University of Texas System Police, I have extensive experience in curriculum development and instruction. I specialize in core units like Criminal Law/Penal Code (classifications of offenses and elements of major crimes) and Search and Seizure (constitutional foundations, warrants, exceptions, and case law).
My dedication to student success is evidenced by my recognition as "Instructor of the Year" multiple times by the cadets of the University of Texas System Police Academy. During my tenure, I successfully guided over 300 police cadets in passing their Texas peace officer license exam, including an outstanding record of 11 straight classes achieving a 100% first-time pass rate.
Beyond these core subjects, I also provide expert instruction in areas such as verbal de-escalation (Verbal Judo), criminal investigations, family violence and sexual assault response (including work with the Texas Governor's Sexual Assault Survivors' Task Force). I'm committed to providing you with comprehensive and engaging instruction to help you achieve your goals.

I enjoy spending time outdoors, especially hiking and camping whenever I get the chance. Grilling and relaxing in my backyard is one of my favorite ways to unwind. I'm also a big fan of action movies. Most of all, I love spending time with my grandchildren—they keep me laughing and on my toes. One of my greatest joys comes from teaching; seeing students or cadets experience that "lightbulb moment" when they connect a concept to the real world is truly rewarding.
