I hold a PhD in Mathematics from the University of Houston, where I have spent over six years working as a teaching assistant, instructor, and tutor, helping students at all levels develop confidence and mastery in math. I tutor a wide range of subjects, including algebra, calculus, differential equations, linear algebra, probability, and data science, but I particularly enjoy tutoring calculus and applied mathematics because they allow me to connect abstract ideas to real-world applications. My teaching philosophy centers on building understanding from the ground up, fostering problem-solving skills, and adapting lessons to each student's learning style. I strive to make challenging concepts approachable by breaking them into clear, manageable steps and encouraging active engagement. Beyond academics, I enjoy reading, hiking, and exploring the connections between mathematics and real-world phenomena, which I often bring into my lessons to inspire curiosity in my students.
