As a senior at Lamar University pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Political Science, I am passionate about tutoring high school English and history. With over two years of tutoring experience, I have successfully supported my peers and teammates in understanding complex subjects, particularly in social studies and government. My teaching philosophy centers on creating a relatable and engaging learning environment, where I tailor my approach to meet each student's unique needs. I believe that fostering a genuine connection with students enhances their receptiveness to learning. As the student body president, I continually strive to bridge the gap between students and faculty, making me approachable and effective in my tutoring. I am dedicated to instilling a love for history and government in my students, helping them appreciate its relevance to their lives. Outside of academics, I enjoy running track, which instills discipline and teamworkqualities I bring into my tutoring sessions.
