Born and raised in Colombia, I came to the United States in 2007 after getting my bachelor's degree in architecture. Originally, I came to study English as a Second Language to improve my skillset and get better job opportunities back home, but in my last semester, I took a photography class that changed the way I perceive the world around me and made me fall in love with the medium. Because of that, I ended up transferring to Drexel University to get my bachelor's in photography, and in 2017, I received my Master of Fine Arts from The University of Delaware. This multidisciplinary MFA program exposed to a great group of artists that expanded my artistic practice and encouraged me to work with other mediums, such as acrylics, colored pencils, collages, and my personal favorite, embroidery on paper.

As a creative professional and instructor, I focus on integrating my diverse personal and academic background into my passion to educate, so I can inspire my students to nd their own visual or spoken language. I constantly research trends in design and technology for new techniques and tools that I can build into my curriculum to offer everyone more opportunities to connect with the content and to further stimulate their interest and creativity.

In the past, I have had the opportunity to help students prepare for their GRE Test and to tutor all levels of Spanish. Currently, I'm at Drexel University, where I have been teaching photography for the last 7 years.
