I am passionate about teaching and helping students because I am a high school teacher . My teaching style is catered to what you need as an individual. I like to provide the easiest, most visual way to understand an idea or topic that you are struggling with. This way, you can feel encouraged and know that all I am doing is helping you understand something through someone else's point of view. Most of my students would describe me as an understanding and supportive teacher, with a bit of sarcasm added into the mix.

I am able to tutor both ELAR and history as needed, with a specialty in English 1 and 2 core subjects for high school. I love teaching both of these subjects because reading, writing, and understanding information from historical events allows you to develop your own thoughts. In doing this, you become a well-rounded individual that is trustworthy to listen to and you have the knowledge to back up the things you say.

I am a graduate of St. Edward's University. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts, and would like to pursue a Master's degree in a more specialized history topic. Since graduating, I have taught English 1 and 2 for about 3 years and have tutored students in grades 5th- 12th grade. In my experience as a teacher, I have helped students with important requirements such as preparing for standardized tests and with writing essays for important assignments. I also teach a large portion of ESL students and was an ESL student growing up, so I understand what it is like to struggle through essays and difficult portions of reading for assignments.
