I'm a passionate tutor with a Bachelor's in Creative Writing from Boise State University. While earning my degree, I garnered experience providing feedback to my peers in a workshop setting. I also have over three years of experience working at the Boise State Writing Center, where I've honed my skills in one-on-one support for college and high school writing. My approach centers on fostering autonomy in my students, encouraging them to understand the "why" behind my feedback. I believe that effective writing is not just about correcting mistakes but about nurturing better writers. I enjoy engaging students in discussions about literature, helping them connect with texts on a deeper level. My ultimate goal is to ignite a passion for writing and storytelling in my students while ensuring they feel accomplished and confident in their abilities. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy exploring the medium of story through video games as well as sewing together gifts for friends.

Undergraduate Degree: Boise State University - Bachelor in Arts, Creative Writing
All my hobbies have to do with stories, aside from sewing. On weekends, I play Dungeons and Dragons with a group of college friends which gives me the opportunity to stretch my creativity and math skills. I also play video games of many different genres, though storytelling games---like Scarlet Hollow---have to be my favorite. For friends' birthday, I like to sew together their favorite animal friends. I, of course, love writing and reading. My favorite genres include romance and literary fiction.
