Chelsea: Orange tutor
Certified Tutor
I have taught for 10 years and have experience in various grades and subjects, including K-5 All Subjects and Special Education. My teaching experience has been primarily in Georgia, where I have developed a strong understanding of the local curriculum and standards. My Bachelor's in Science degree in Elementary/Special Education has prepared me to effectively support all learners and create a positive, inclusive, and personalized learning environment.
I strive to make online learning fun and engaging for my students by incorporating their interests and real-world events into our lessons. I keep communication clear and consistent with learners and their families. I share weekly goals, post updates, and celebrate student progress, which keeps families engaged and students motivated. To support different learning styles, I use various tools such as videos, visuals, and voice notes, and I check in regularly to support students academically and emotionally. As a teacher and parent, I understand the importance of structure and flexibility, so I aim to create a supportive, balanced, and engaging online experience for every learner.
Outside of teaching, I love everything Disney and enjoy spending time with my son, watching movies, and crocheting. These interests influence my teaching style by making me more animated, creative, and excited to share new experiences with my learners. Learning should be a fun experience, and I am dedicated to creating a positive and enriching learning journey for each and every one of my students. Let's embark on this journey together and discover the joy of learning!
