I am originally from California, but I have been living in Texas for the last 15 years. I graduated from Smith College and received a Bachelor's of Arts in Economics. I have about 7 years of teaching experience serving both as a teacher and substitute teacher. I have taught in different settings, many different subjects, and many different age groups from Pre-K up to 8th grade. I teach numerous subject areas such as Reading, Science, Social Studies, Mathematics, and Social Emotional Learning in both English and Spanish. It is my goal to make learning fun, educational, and engaging.
I am very passionate about providing students with instruction that will help them fulfill their maximum potential. My experience in classroom management and lesson planning makes me a quality teacher. I have worked with students with different learning styles and welcome any challenges that come with accommodations or differential instructions. I have mainly worked as a teacher for the lower grades, but I have worked with the upper grades by serving as a tutor. As a teacher of record, I have gained experience in implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), developing lesson plans with differential instruction, and collaborating with parents.
