Certified Tutor

I graduated from Hastings College with a Bachelor of Arts. I majored in Studio Art with a focus on oil painting and minored in writing and political science. I grew up with a passion for reading and writing, and even self published a small fictional novel in the 9th grade as part of my schools gifted and talented program. I am currently pursuing a master's in psychology. I can tutor writing fundamentals and creative writing for both short stories and longer projects. I can also tutor oil painting, watercolor, charcoal, and drawing. I am most passionate about drawing basics. Skill in art is a matter of practice and study, like any other discipline. I've found through assisting art classes, peer mentoring, and tutoring teens that with a few essential skills, you can build a strong 2D foundation to create anything you see in your mind's eye and become a confident and voracious learner of any medium.
