I am very happy with our experience so far with Varsity Tutors. They matched my daughter with reading specialist Mary and she is wonderful! My 10 year old daughter feels happy after her sessions and believes her tutor has already helped her.

Certified Tutor

I take a lot of pride in helping middle and high school students build confidence in English and math. Tutoring has always felt meaningful to me because I get to be there when something finally clicks for a student. Whether it's figuring out how to solve a tricky math problem or learning how to organize ideas in an essay, I enjoy being part of that process. I've worked with students from different backgrounds, and I always try to create a space where they feel supported and comfortable asking questions.

English and math are my favorite subjects to tutor because they form the foundation for so many other skills. I especially enjoy working with students who may feel unsure of themselves at first, helping them build confidence and make real progress is incredibly rewarding. My tutoring style is patient and flexible. I focus on making sure students truly understand what they're learning, without rushing them or making them feel judged. I like to meet students where they are and adapt my teaching to their needs.

Outside of academics, I enjoy exploring computer science as a hobby. I love learning how code works, building small projects, and thinking about how technology can solve real-world problems. I'm also passionate about music and filmmaking, creative outlets that help me stay balanced and inspired. Tutoring isn't just about helping someone with schoolwork it's about supporting them as they grow, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to do that.

Hobbies

Outside of academics, I enjoy playing guitar, it’s something I’ve been passionate about for nearly five years. Music helps me stay focused and creative, and it’s a great outlet when I need to unwind. I also like going to concerts when I can, especially for rock and metal. In my free time, I’m usually exploring projects that involve coding or storytelling, which helps keep me curious and motivated both in and out of the classroom.
