Ashley
Certified Tutor
As a graduate of the University of Chicago with a Bachelor's in Business Economics and Media Arts and Design, and a current Master's in Management student at the University of Chicago's Booth School of Business, I bring both analytical and creative thinking to my tutoring. My studies have focused on behavioral economics and consumer behavior, giving me a strong foundation in understanding how people think and learn. Like in my business studies, I take a human-centered approach to tutoring, identifying pain points, fostering open communication, and adapting my methods to meet each student's unique needs.
I am especially passionate about helping high school students prepare for standardized tests. Having self-studied for and earned top scores on the ACT, PSAT, and eight AP exams, including Biology, Environmental Science, U.S. History, and English Language, I understand how stressful and confusing the college admissions process can be. My goal is to make this process feel more manageable and empowering by sharing the strategies and mindset shifts that helped me succeed.
Beyond test prep, I have worked as a teaching assistant for core Biology at UChicago and enjoy helping students build confidence in subjects they find challenging. My tutoring style is collaborative, structured, and tailored, I aim to help students not only master content but also develop the skills and habits that lead to success.

Outside of academics, I'm involved in independent game design projects where I generally participate as both a game designer or a producer, but I also find myself doing programming, art, and everything in between for my projects! I also spend time creating art or editing for Sliced Bread Magazine, a campus publication focused on art and literary works where I lead the magazine layout team.
