Certified Tutor

I am a recent graduate of North Carolina Central University. There, I received my Bachelor of Science in Psychology and am beginning the Master's of Arts in Clinical Psychology program this upcoming Fall. Since graduating with my Bachelor's degree, I work as a Behavior therapist for children with autism. Being a Behavior therapist, I provide 1 on 1 therapy sessions to help them develop new skills, lessen problematic behaviors, and improve their ability to interact, communicate, and be independent. During my undergrad, I participated in an internship at the Boys and Girls Club of America. During that internship, I provided 1 on 1 tutoring help to children over a wide range of ages and subjects. As an aspiring Clinical Psychologist, I am passionate about all psychological concepts. My enthusiasm for tutoring stems from my sincere desire to see others grow. Witnessing a student have that "aha" moment when an idea suddenly makes sense is extremely rewarding. I love being able to simplify difficult concepts and tailor my teaching style to each student's preferred style of learning. I can truly impact someone's academic life and help them gain confidence by tutoring them. Outside of tutoring, some of my hobbies include baking, sewing, gardening, and reading. The book I am reading right now is "Race Against Time" by Jerry Mitchell.
