Matthew: St. Charles tutor
Certified Tutor
I'm a 4th year at the University of Waterloo in Science Psychology, with a minor in Chemistry and a diploma in Japanese, whether its learning about the naming scheme of organic molecules, or how to count in Japanese, I'm your guy.
I would say I'm best suited to help you learn; general science, chemistry, biology, psychology, music, math, Japanese, and history.
I've had the opportunity to teach through Let's Talk Science, where I led engaging, hands-on lessons designed to make science accessible and exciting for students of all ages. I aim to bring that same energy and creativity to every tutoring session.
My academic interests lie in educational psychology, and I'm currently completing an honours thesis focused on how students can learn best, and how teachers can teach best. When I graduate I'm looking forward to researching how teachers can best teach, and how students can best learn.

Degree: University of Waterloo - Bachelor's, Psychology (B.Sc), Minor in Chemistry, Diploma in Japanese
My primary interest right now is in education. I would like to get some experience teaching in highschool before going into research, and am trying to help other students at my school get into teachers college as the president of the Teaching Club. I also am a musician, I conduct for the University of Waterloo's Engineering Jazz band. I've been immersed in music since grade 6 and specialize in Jazz. I currently play the saxophone, guitar, and some piano. I can help you learn anything you would like to about playing, or theory. I've been studying Japanese for about 5 years now, and have qualified myself to get the Language Diploma at my school. Quasi-academically, I have a deep interest in modern history. if its from the mid 1800's to today, I probably know way too much about. Non-academically, I collect Pokémon cards as a hobby and like playing board games
