Certified Tutor

I am a Junior at Baylor University studying Professional Writing and Rhetoric and Great Texts. In my time at Baylor, I have taken a class on tutoring writing and have worked at the writing center for tutoring. I have experience tutoring college level essays on an array of subjects like research, literary analysis, personal statements, journalism, proposals, and more. In my other major, Great Texts, we read a lot of ancient literature and philosophy, so if you are wanting help analyzing some of those tedious ancient texts, I can help you with that as well.

I am a strong believer in the socratic method, so in tutoring sessions I try to foster communication from both you and I so that I am not just teaching at you, but we are learning together. Writing is a conversation, so I will be asking questions on what you are feeling and move towards that need so we can achieve the desired goal of you becoming a better writer.

Reading and writing if you cannot tell, is my love, and I am passionate about making students realize that they are better writers than they think.
