I am a graduate of NC State University with a degree in Computer Science with high honors, and I am pursuing a masters degree at Duke University. I am also an experienced software developer, and absolutely love the craft. For this reason, I am exceptionally interested in tutoring subjects in the field. I believe that computer science topics can be learned and mastered by anyone, and can even be fun for puzzle-minded individuals! Students I've worked with in the past have found themselves not only learning they love programming, but actively seeking out opportunities to program on their own time.

Hobbies

As stated in my personal statement, I love programming. In particular, I like to develop video games! I have a large portfolio of short and long-term game projects that I can share, and many of my students enjoy playing them. In addition, I'm a trained musician and have perform piano for nearly 15 years, and have played saxophone (primarily alto) for a little over 10. I actively participate in jazz bands, and make sure to play the piano every day. Beyond this, I am generally a fan of all things nerdy/geeky. I love cartoons, video games, D&D, and anime.
