With over 18 years of experience in the classroom, I've had the privilege of guiding students through some of their most formative academic years. My passion for helping students stems from witnessing the spark that ignites when a learner overcomes a challenge or discovers a newfound confidence. There's nothing more rewarding than being part of that moment.

Throughout my career, I've taught grades 2 through 5 in a full-time classroom setting and have tutored students from 2nd through 9th grade. I hold a Master's degree in Reading Instruction, which has given me a strong foundation for supporting literacy development and helping students build essential reading and writing skills. I earned my degrees from accredited universities, and my studies focused heavily on child development, differentiated instruction, and evidence-based literacy practices.

I tutor a wide range of subjects, including reading, writing, math, and general study skills. My favorite subjects to tutor are reading & mathespecially when I can help a student go from reluctant reader/problem solver to enthusiastic learner. I also enjoy helping middle school students build confidence in writing and comprehension, which can be challenging yet deeply rewarding.

My teaching philosophy is rooted in patience, empathy, and adaptability. Every student learns differently, and I strive to create a supportive environment where students feel safe to make mistakes, ask questions, and grow. I take time to understand each learner's strengths and areas for growth so I can tailor my approach to meet their unique needs.

Outside of education, I enjoy spending time outdoors, reading for pleasure, and exploring creative hobbies like baking and crafting. I believe in nurturing curiosity and balance, both in and out of the classroom, and I bring that same energy and positivity into every tutoring session.
