Education has always been a journey of discovery and resilience for me. After earning my Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Science with a double major in Entomology and a minor in Psychology from Texas A&M University, I pursued my passion for medicine at UT Southwestern, where I am currently a third-year medical student working toward an MD and MPH dual degree.
My experience as a tutor has been shaped by both my academic background and my own learning challenges. As a tutor for first- and second-year medical and PA students at my school, I have found fulfillment in breaking down complex subjects like physiology, pharmacology, and pathophysiology in ways that make them more accessible. Additionally, I enjoy helping students prepare for standardized exams such as the USMLE Step 1, MCAT, and ACT English, as well as providing support for K-12 education.
Having navigated my own educational path with a diagnosis of ADHD, I understand that learning is not one-size-fits-all. My approach is centered on meeting students where they are and equipping them with strategies tailored to their unique strengths. Whether through active recall, visual learning, or problem-based approaches, my goal is to help students unlock their full potential in a way that feels intuitive and sustainable for THEM.
Beyond academics, I enjoy staying active through hiking, running, indoor rock climbing, weightlifting, and playing tennis. I believe that balance is key to success, and I encourage my students to develop learning habits that align with their lifestyles. Tutoring is more than just teachingit's about empowering others to overcome challenges and grow in confidence, and I am grateful for the opportunity to be part of that process.
