I have been an educator for nearly the past decade teaching middle school English, reading, writing, and social studies courses. I earned my bachelor's degree in social science education and my master's degree in curriculum and instruction with a special methods in English - both from the University of North Florida. Over the course of my career, I have been a highly effective educator in both urban and suburban settings with direct experience remediating struggling learners and enhancing high performers. I am most passionate about fiction, nonfiction, poetry, writing, and history related courses including Civics, U.S. history, and world history. As a multidimensional educator, I am an expert in improving reading skills while simultaneously enhancing content knowledge.

Outside of education, I value spending time with my wife and two daughters. We enjoy boating, fishing, camping, and spending our time outdoors. I'm an avid reader of both fiction and nonfiction and enjoy DIY projects around the house. In our house, we root for the Yankees and the Packers with a passion!
