Since 2017, I've worked closely with a diversity of students in a varying array of genres, including nonfiction, essays, short stories, resume building, poetry, and film criticism. What I've learned in my time with a varying array of students is that I must approach every person with a fresh perspective. Every student brings a prior education and years of conditioning to any of their classes. It is my job as the teacher to patiently collaborate with every student by meeting them where they're at.
