Helping students achieve their academic goals is a passion that has driven me throughout my career. Witnessing the moment when a challenging concept finally clicks for a student is incredibly rewarding and fuels my dedication to education. I believe that every student has the potential to succeed with the right guidance and support, and I am committed to providing that assistance.
I have extensive experience working with students of various ages and academic backgrounds. From tutoring elementary school students in foundational subjects to assisting high school and college students with advanced coursework, I have honed my ability to adapt my teaching methods to meet each student's unique needs. My background includes both one-on-one tutoring and group instruction, allowing me to cultivate a flexible and responsive approach to teaching.
My educational journey began with a Bachelor's degree in psychology from Towson University, where I developed a strong foundation in teaching and a masters of arts in teaching at Goucher College.
I tutor a variety of subjects, including special education.
My teaching philosophy centers on fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel empowered to ask questions and take ownership of their learning. I employ a student-centered tutoring style that emphasizes active learning, critical thinking, and personalized strategies to ensure each student can overcome their challenges and reach their full potential.
Outside of academia, I enjoy traveling which helps me maintain a well-rounded perspective and bring creativity and enthusiasm to my tutoring sessions. My goal is to inspire confidence in my students and equip them with the tools they need for academic success and beyond.

Fitness plays a significant role in my life, as I enjoy staying active through various activities such as weight training, yoga, and outdoor adventures. Maintaining physical health not only boosts my energy but also enhances my focus and mental clarity, which benefits every aspect of my life. At home, I share my space with two wonderful cats who bring joy, comfort, and endless entertainment to my daily routine. Caring for them has taught me patience and responsibility, and their playful nature adds a sense of warmth and companionship to my home. Community service is another passion of mine. Volunteering allows me to give back, connect with diverse groups of people, and make a positive impact in the community. Whether it's organizing local events, participating in charity drives, or mentoring young individuals, I find immense fulfillment in contributing to the well-being of others. I am also deeply interested in learning about self-sustaining lifestyles. Exploring practices like organic gardening, renewable energy, and sustainable living methods excites me. My goal is to incorporate more eco-friendly habits into my daily life and inspire others to do the same, fostering a more sustainable future for our planet.
