I am a graduate of James Madison University, and received my Masters in Elementary Education in 2020. I was a 1st grade teacher for 2 years, and while I have moved on to another career, my passion for teaching younger students is still just as strong. I am most passionate about Math and Reading. I believe often times students get frustrated at the foundational level of math, which makes learning more complicated topics difficult. I am passionate about unpacking those foundational concepts to help build a strong starting point for students. I think that meeting students where they are mentally and emotionally is key to helping them succeed and feel accomplished.

Some of my favorite things include playing DnD, crocheting, and playing video games. I also enjoy reading fantasy books and listening to Kpop. In high school and college I played flute in the band and was also a part of the Colorguard.
