"I love working with students because I strongly believe that education is one of the main ways to develop personally and as a community. I want to open new learning opportunities to strengthen my students and provide another building block in building a brighter, wiser community. It is great to see students succeeding and reaching their goals; it is their achievements that motivate me every day. I attended and completed my high school studies and am in the process of completing my bachelor's degree in criminal justice at the University of Texas Permian Basin. During these years of studies, I have also had a certification as a Microsoft Specialist besides having a Heart saver First Aid CPR certification. These skills shall add not only to my tutoring but also make me more resourceful for my students. I happen to be tutoring 39 subjects, but the areas which interest me most involve science, mathematics, and English. I do think that teaching can make all the difference in the learning process. My method of approach in tutoring is to realize the different needs of each student and to inspire critical thinking and curiosity. If you don't find me in the classroom, then you know I'm indulging in digital art-sketching my latest ideas. I also love to learn new languages; in this way, it enables me to connect with other ways of thinking and cultures, hence enriching my view of the world.
I want to make students aware of their potential and help them be strong contributors to our community. I pledge to act as a use - helpful mentor en route to their successful academic careers and further to develop into better persons."
