Certified Tutor
My journey as a math tutor began with my own transformation from an uneducated high school student to a passionate educator, thanks to a remarkable professor who illuminated the world of mathematics for me. With a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Stephen F. Austin State University and over 5 years of classroom and tutoring experience, I have dedicated my career to teaching math from elementary through high school, including subjects like Algebra, Geometry, and College Algebra. My teaching philosophy centers on understanding each student's unique learning style, allowing me to identify and address misconceptions effectively. I find immense joy in helping students overcome challenges and develop their problem-solving skills. My commitment to fostering a supportive learning environment has not only enhanced student outcomes but also deepened my love for teaching. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy exploring educational resources and staying current with teaching methodologies, continually striving to inspire my students to appreciate the beauty of mathematics.
