My name is Ms. Higgins and I'm a dedicated and passionate middle school math teacher with 11.5 years of experience. I graduated from Arizona State University with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. Currently, I am taking a break from teaching to stay home with my 1-year-old son.
My philosophy is that every student has the potential to succeed in math with the right teaching approach. I am committed to helping students develop the critical thinking and problem-solving skills necessary to excel in math and their everyday lives. In my experience, many students who struggle with math often lack some fundamental skills, and I work tirelessly to ensure that each of my students has a solid foundation on which to build their math skills.

I have a wide range of hobbies and interests that keep me happily occupied. Spending quality time with my son is one of my top priorities, as his laughter and energy always bring joy to my days. Another passion of mine is traveling, and I love exploring new destinations and experiencing different cultures. My fascination with nature leads me to seek out and visit as many waterfalls as possible, as their natural beauty never fails to inspire me. In addition to traveling, I enjoy spending time outdoors, whether it's soaking up the sun at the beach, embarking on scenic hikes, or seeking out hidden waterfalls. I also find relaxation in going to the movies, watching sports, and diving into a good book. To balance out my active and leisurely pursuits, I find fulfillment in organizing and tackling DIY projects, as the sense of accomplishment from a well-executed project is truly satisfying.
