I studied English Literature at the CUNY Macaulay Honors College before obtaining my masters degree in Education from St. John's University. I worked in the NYC public schools for 15 years, teaching reading, writing, and communication skills while also tutoring. While I have tutored in many subjects, I am most passionate about English Language Arts, Writing, Literature, Communication, and ESL. I take a very hands-on approach to all my teaching and tutoring, particularly when it comes to preparing for standardized tests, so that my students develop the critical thinking skills necessary to feel confident and prepared. I believe learning should be fun and purposeful, which is why I make sure my students understand why what they are learning matters and how it will help them. Education leads to opportunities and I work tirelessly to impart this knowledge to my students.
