Certified Tutor

I am a fourth-year undergraduate student at the University of Central Florida majoring in Biomedical sciences with a minor in psychology (pre-medical track).

Underlying my academic pursuits is a clear love of science--specifically of biology and chemistry. I love the practice, processes, and intricacies of science and believe that every student is capable of understanding these disciplines when taught in a way that caters to their individual needs. I am a big proponent of incorporating practice problems in teaching because I believe the first step to knowing is doing. Due to my academic background, I focus on tutoring Biology-related courses and Chemistry. I have experience as a Medical Biochemistry teaching assistant in which I led Q&A style discussions with students and answered questions during and after lectures. I have also volunteered as a 1-on-1 English tutor. I am also proficient in mathematics, having been awarded the "Excellence in Mathematics" distinction in my graduating senior class. I have informally tutored math (i.e., Algebra) to friends and family.

I like to make my own learning/studying enjoyable and bring that same energy to lessons! Learning can be a fun challenge that only enriches our view of the world.
