Certified Tutor

I am a senior at Vanderbilt University pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience. I hope to one day develop solutions and cures for neurodegenerative diseases and neurodevelopmental differences by merging technology with biology.
My passion for education and teaching has been deeply shaped by personal experience. I was diagnosed with ADHD and dyslexia in elementary school, and I struggled to learn in a traditional classroom setting during my early education. The support of dedicated teachers and tutors helped me build confidence, develop new learning strategies, and eventually thrive. Without them, I wouldn't be where I am today.
Inspired by the support for amazing teachers, I began volunteering in special education classrooms during my first year of college and later started tutoring students who had not passed state standardized exams. These experiences reinforced what I believe to be the most important role of an educator: to build students up and equip them with the tools they need to succeed, especially in fast-paced or high-pressure academic environments.
I'm especially passionate about tutoring biology, general chemistry, and mathematics (pre-algebra through Algebra II). I also enjoy helping students strengthen their writing for both high school and college-level essays. My approach to tutoring is student-centered and confidence-building. I aim to create a supportive space where each learner feels capable, motivated, and empowered.
