Certified Tutor

I just recently graduated from the Ohio State University and earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish. I specialized in Latin American Literatures and Cultures and also minored in economics. I have been a volunteer English as a Second Language (ESL) tutor since September of 2023, and I love working with language learners of all ages. I have taken Spanish since the third grade and have traveled abroad to many Spanish speaking countries like Mexico, Colombia, Peru, and Spain. Throughout my language learning journey, I have come to appreciate a multitude of different learning and teaching styles, understanding the importance of creating an environment where everyone feels comfortable practicing or learning a new language. I have also taken college level courses in microeconomics, macroeconomics, government policy in the U.S. economy, and the economics of immigration. I am most passionate about tutoring Spanish, English, and economics because I want to be able to share my positive experiences and love for languages and the financial aspects of government policy with other students. Apart from tutoring, I also enjoy playing piano, traveling, running, going to concerts, and spending time with my friends and family.
