Myra: West Jordan tutor
Certified Tutor
As a freshman at the University of Dallas, I am studying Classics. I am thrilled to share my passions for these classical languages, particularly Latin and Ancient Greek, with others. Having the opportunity to tutor in these languages is a privilege. Helping others shapes not only my understanding of these languages better, but also shares important knowledge with others.
My fascination with these languages began before college in my high school, Great Hearts. There I ran the Classics Club where I cultivated the love of these languages in the middle school students through fun exercises, games, and tests. The rich influence of the Greeks and Latins in our modern society is vast. From our literature, philosophy, and our culture, their influences are found everywhere which makes me passionate about helping others see such things as well.
As a tutor, I am committed to fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment where students may hone their skills and develop a genuine love for Latin and Ancient Greek. Whether decoding a difficult sentence or figuring out syntax, I can help a student work through the challenges of learning a new language. learning a new language.
