As your math tutor, my goal is to make math more enjoyable to learn. My goal is to increase your understanding and lessen the need for memorization. By listening to your concerns, I can help identify areas where you need support, encouragement, and background information. You will also learn how to think mathematically, a transferable skill for future math classes.

I love tutoring students because I enjoy working with young people. I believe that all people need a good education. Becoming educated is a lifelong process of finding your interests and your way to contribute to our world. I believe that tutoring is the best way to learn the rigorous subject of mathematics because the tutor is continually adjusting to what is best for the student's understanding.

In terms of qualifications, my B.S. Degree is from the University of Pennsylvania in Mechanical Engineering. My New Jersey K - 12 Mathematics Teachers Certification is from the Alternate Route Program. I also hold Massachusetts 9 - 12 Mathematics Teachers Certification. I have 22 years experience as a high school math teacher, public and private, and have taught the following courses: Calculus, Pre-Calculus, Algebra 2, Algebra 1, Geometry, SAT / ACT Preparation, Coding in Scratch, and Basic Math Skills.

I am currently tutoring these subjects: Algebra 2, Algebra 1, Geometry, and SAT / ACT Preparation.
