I have a passion for helping students learn. I love working with them and seeing the moment when everything just clicks! For the last five years, I have taught in elementary classrooms at Tillery Charter Academy. This year, I made the switch to Curriculum Coordinator and Reading Interventionist. Currently, I am working towards my Associate in the Orton Gillingham Approach to Reading. Before working in elementary education, I taught a year Bible History/World Religions in high school. I am a former Youth and Children's Minister turned teacher! I hold a Bachelor's degree in Christian Studies and a Master's of Divinity. Helping students unlock their learning potential is one of my greatest joys!
Some of my other joys in life are my husband and our three kids. I also have a deep love of reading. To me, there is little more wonderful than escaping to another time and place through reading a book!
