As a proud Brooklyn native and graduate of Spelman College with my B.A. in English, I am passionate about the amplification and education of underrepresented and marginalized youth. I would not be where I am today without trusted adults such as teachers, faculty, and staff being there for me within the safe space of my institutions. I am most passionate about English, African-American History, Literature, Public Speaking, Journalism, Creative Writing, and Drama. I am also a proud mental health advocate and was previously Mental Health First Aid certified for both adults and children. I have had the opportunity to speak at conferences, consortiums, symposiums, and schools about the importance of mental health in the Black community. Moreover, I am a renowned journalist who has written for publications such as ESSENCE, Forbes, Men's Health, and more.

Hobbies

In my spare time, I enjoy dancing, yoga, spoken word, drinking tea, and watching horror movies. I have been writing creative short stories since the age of 5 and have been dancing since the age of 4. Styles of dance studied include ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hop, modern, and African.
