Sociology Major and French + Biology double minor here. Have two semesters left! I've taken the SAT, SAT Subject Tests, and ACT over 23 times - so I'm familiar with them! Passionate about pharmacotherapeutics, prescriptions, and drug mechanisms of action. Have the ultimate goal of being a psychiatrist and crafting a drug that helps people with personality disorders. On my route, I want to help people achieve their own goals of becoming whomever they want.
My favorite subject to tutor is the ACT. English is my best subject; I scored at a 35 on the English section 4 tests in a row without ANY preparation I missed only 1 question out of 60, each time. But I've scored over a 31 on multiple occasions, up from a 19 on my first try. My methods work!!! My superscore is a 33.
I've worked with a variety of students individually (at least thirty) from ages 15 to 60. I've stepped in front of over 350 people and answered questions for my General Chemistry T.A. position. I'm not afraid of teaching in front of large crowds!
I'm also particularly good in working with people who have learning disabilities such as ADHD. This is because I'm particularly good at spotting when we are entering what I call the "tangent zone" and can pull us back to the main theme of the day.
I have ADHD and my mind pontificates/wanders, but I ALWAYS circle back around to the beginning of the topic, This means I am great at explaining things in multiple ways. This means you get a lot of suggestions for ways to improve.
